A 50-year-old man from Derry/Londonderry has been charged with three offences: membership of a proscribed organisation, directing terrorism, and preparatory acts of terrorism.

Both men will appear in court in Laganside, Belfast, via videolink, on Saturday morning.

Seven others arrested as part of the operation remain in custody.
